Power in Diversity Israel report ranks HiBob third most diversified company of 650 Israeli venture-backed organizations evaluated for the report

London, UK & Tel Aviv, Israel –  10 February, 2023: HiBob, the company behind Bob, the HR platform transforming how organizations operate in the modern world of work, today is proud to celebrate earning a top place in this year’s Power in Diversity Israel report.  

Now in its second year, the Power in Diversity study reports on the diversity of Israel’s startup ecosystem. It ranks HiBob as one of the top three most diverse companies in the country.  For the first time, and in addition to female representation in the workforce, it also examines the status of ultra-Orthodox and Arabs in the ecosystem. This review surveyed 650 private and public companies which started out as Israeli based VC backed firms. 

According to this year’s data, women make up 34% of startup employees. 24% of management positions and 27.8% of technological positions. Israeli Arabs make up 0.2% of startup employees, while the ultra-Orthodox population makes up 0.4%. The gap between the number of diverse employees in startups and their percentage in the population is significant in all three groups. It points to the need for organizations to establish a more deliberate DE&I strategy as well as an increased focus on a wider definition of belonging.
