About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing finance team in London. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller & the Financial Accountant with processing financial transactions, month end closing, bank & balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns for the UK & European sites of HiBob. 

Responsibilities

  • Process the day-to-day accounting, maintaining the books up to date for the UK and European subsidiaries (inc. Netherlands, Germany and Portugal)
  • Responsible for supplier management
  • Communication with external suppliers
  • Internal approval flow and communication with Company’s managers 
  • Reviewing Purchase Orders
  • Prepare and support the payments cycles (wires/ACH) to local and foreign suppliers
  • Supplier reconciliation, review the ageing report & resolving queries
  • Weekly bank reconciliation and posting entries into NetSuite
  • Prepare VAT returns with supporting documentation, before submission to the relevant tax authorities  

Monthly closing: 

  • Prepare prepaid expenses 
  • Accrued expenses 
  • Fixed assets 
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Record day to day financial transactions and reconcile to the ledgers
  • Prepare financial and administrative reports as required
  • Support the incorporation of new sites of HiBob within Europe
  • Bank and Treasury maintenance / support 

Requirements

Requirements are often considered a measure of how equipped you are to do the job, but sometimes, they aren’t the only factor. If you don’t have nearly enough experience, or not all the skills, we’d still like to hear from you. This could be the perfect fit for you and us.

  • AAT finalist (completed Level 3)
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience within a global company. High-tech/start-up companies – an advantage 
  • Experience with NetSuite – A big advantage
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills especially Excel
  • A team player
  • Highly organised and reliable with strong attention to details
