About the Position

We are looking to add a new team member to our legal department to help our rapidly growing high-tech company negotiate and execute commercial transactions for customers worldwide and for incoming procurement requests, as well as assist on a variety of internal legal matters such as marketing, IT, licensing, data protection laws, etc.

In this challenging position, you will partner with internal clients (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Security) in managing, negotiating and executing commercial transactions.

In addition, you will provide guidance, support and leadership to cross-functional teams worldwide about various legal and regulatory matters such as labor and employment and data privacy and security issues.

What will you actually be doing?

  • Become the third team member in our growing legal team and work closely with Hibob’s Head of Legal and Legal Counsel.
  • Work directly with Hibob’s Sales Organization to negotiate and close commercial agreements (including data processing agreements);
  • Work directly with Hibob’s internal departments to negotiate and close procurement agreements;
  • Remain current on applicable laws and regulations surrounding IP, privacy, and security;
  • Support and advice on a wide variety of general legal matters throughout the different departments in the company.

Requirements

  • Law degree - Must
  • 3-5 years of relevant legal experience as an in-house lawyer in a legal department of a high-tech company or in the commercial/high-tech department of a major law firm;
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills, and extensive commercial transactions experience;
  • Prior experience working with large multi-national customers and partners;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple matters and conflicting priorities, while balancing legal and business concerns;
  • Experience in technology related agreements and SaaS, especially dealing with sales transactions - Required;
  • English mother tongue level – Required;
  • Experience with data privacy and security issues in the technology space (CCPA, GDPR, etc.) – Required.
  • Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills – Required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and days;
  • Ability to work effectively remotely.
