What will this role involve?

  • You will be in charge of hiring, onboarding, growing and mentoring your team of backend and frontend engineers, while working closely with our Product team to build and execute on the people intelligence roadmap.
  • HiBob is growing and you will be leading the development of our core reporting functionality, not just to optimise performance for now, but also expand our architecture and capabilities as our client base grows and expands to larger and more complex organisations.
  • You will be owning the dev cycle from the technical design, through to coding and testing, to deployment and monitoring. We work in a true continuous delivery environment with fully automated QA processes on a microservices architecture, deploying to production dozens of times every day. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience as a team leader, preferably on a dynamic, fast-paced startup.
  • Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable web architecture.
  • People’s person with strong leadership skills who can motivate and build a winning team.
  • Experience with testing methodologies - unit-testing, TDD, mocking, etc.
  • Independent, resourceful, and proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers.

The following are a big plus:

  • Having both backend and frontend development experience.
  • Experience with Kotlin, Java, and/or Angular.
  • Experience with Scala - A BIG advantage!
  • Experience leading offshore engineers.
  • Experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.
