Bob was one of the most fortunate UK-Israeli businesses at the 2017 Annual British Israeli Business Awards held on 21st of February. These awards recognise companies which have executed significant transactions or made significant investments between the two countries, providing an opportunity to celebrate bilateral trade.
The other companies in the 2017 shortlist for Most Promising Company of the Year were Currency Transfer, a global payment platform helping SME’s and Private Clients; and Shareagain, a new fintech venture aiming to open up the global securities lending market to private investors.
But Bob was the eventual winner on the night, and was described as a cloud-based platform for human resource departments, turning employee data into actionable information. Our platform identifies the cultures within a business and includes an integrated digital broker.
With an R&D team in Israel and the UK as our first market, we’re very proud of our international status.
Hugo Bieber, Chief Executive of UK Israel Business announced the award saying: “our Board chose to recognise hiBob with the ‘most promising company of the year’ award, due to them launching with the UK as their first market, and creating dozens of jobs in the process. Previous recipients of this award have gone on to grow at a rapid pace and we look forward to seeing hiBob continue in this fine tradition.”
“Thank you for believing in Bob and helping us get to where we are today.” – Ronni Zehavi
Ronni Zehavi, our CEO & Co-Founder, accepted the award with these words: “The past 15 months since we founded Bob have been incredibly exciting for the Bob team and I. Our team of 50 extremely talented people, and dozens of contractors and advisors, have woken up every morning with a passion to sort all the inefficiencies that exist in people management, and find new and innovative ways to nurture your talent. So, I wanted to say a big thank you for believing in Bob and helping us get to where we are today.”
From the whole Bob team, we would like to send a massive ‘thank you’ to all the people who have supported us, as we work hard to make this dream a reality, and to express how excited we are about the opportunity ahead of us.
