The Harmony app for Bob gives Harmony’s AI agents a live understanding of your people. Once connected with a single click, every employee lifecycle event in Bob, from a new hire to a role change to a termination, is picked up by Harmony’s agents, which take care of the right IT actions without anyone raising a ticket. New joiners have their accounts and access ready before day one, movers get their permissions adjusted as their role or team changes, and leavers have access revoked the moment they are offboarded in Bob. Beyond automation, the agents use Bob’s rich employee context, such as department, manager, location, and time off, to route requests to the right team, send approvals to the right manager, and give employees answers that already know who they are. Agents can also act in Bob on your behalf, such as creating or updating an employee record or submitting a time-off request, so HR and IT stay in sync without double entry. The result is onboarding and offboarding that run themselves, with Bob as the single source of truth for who works here and what they should have access to.
Functionality and how the integration works
An admin connects HiBob from Harmony’s integration settings through a secure OAuth 2.0 consent flow, no API tokens or service users to create and maintain. Once connected, Harmony periodically syncs employee profiles, organizational structure, employment lifecycle status, and time-off data from HiBob via its official APIs. This data powers Harmony’s employee directory, service-desk context (who is asking, their role, manager, and whether they’re out of office), and automated onboarding/offboarding workflows. Optionally, Harmony workflows can also create or update employee records in HiBob, for example, adding a new hire during an automated onboarding flow. The connection can be disconnected by the admin at any time, which immediately stops all data access
