A message from Hibob’s CEO, Ronni Zehavi
“Culture eats strategy for breakfast”

As we prepare to close the chapter on 2018, it’s time to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re heading.
It’s been three years since we launched hiBob. We founded the company based on the simple truth that the workforce today is energized by a different set of values, and is not satisfied by the conventional norms of business.
When we looked around, though, what we mostly saw were legacy HCM platforms created in a different era. Platforms that treated people like numbers and siloed HR from the rest of the company.
So we decided to start from scratch, with a belief that HR could be the culture engine of any company – especially fast-growing ones – who needed to stop just talking about putting people first and start taking bold steps to make it a reality.
Here’s a look back at the main challenges we addressed in 2018:

- Embracing your talent by empowering your employees: how to build unstoppable teams
Fast forward, we are now serving more than 350 clients globally, who are driven by innovation, and who know the importance of creating a vibrant, collaborative and fulfilling workplace.
Just a year ago we were 70 people. Now we are up to 110 in 3 regions, and we’re still growing. We’ve built an amazing team of designers, developers, sales leaders, marketers and of course, HR professionals. We run our business and improve our product based off of what we learn from our customers. We’re taking your feedback seriously and are doing our best to meet your needs.
Over the last year, I have also been meeting with those who set the agenda for managing people – industry thought leaders, HR experts at hundreds of companies, psychologists and sociologists and futurists.
That immersion is helping us develop our roadmap, including the next generation of innovative features that will make HR heroes.
We’ve continued to listen to your needs and built our 2019 product plans around supporting your key HR & talent challenges such as:
- Beyond the numbers: monitoring and understanding your people through advanced data and analytics
- One step further: nurturing your company culture and increasing your workplace productivity
- Empowerment: providing the right business tools for your top decision makers, including HR, CEOs, and CFOs
We will keep giving you access to additional industry influencers, learnings and tool kits throughout the next 12 months (these can all be found in our new resource center!) – and in return we hope that you’ll keep talking to us about your own findings and focuses.

Ronni has over 25 years of experience in multinational, hi-tech companies. Prior to setting up hibob, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Silicon Valley based Bessemer Venture Partners. He's the strategic advisor and co-founder of Team8 Cyber Security and CEO of Cotendo, a content delivery network which was acquired by Akamai for $300m.
